 At The Circle of Life Services, LLC, we are committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as those with complex medical needs. Our mission is to help each person live a safe, healthy, and meaningful life while respecting their dignity, independence, and unique abilities. 

Our Services

 

Private Duty & Skilled Nursing Care
Our licensed nurses provide round-the-clock skilled support, including medication management, tube feedings, wound care, Foley catheter care, tracheostomy support, seizure monitoring, and specialized health oversight. We ensure that individuals remain safe, medically stable, and supported in the comfort of their homes and community settings.

 

Foley Catheter Care – including insertion, maintenance, flushing, irrigation, and infection prevention. Gastrostomy (G-tube) Care – safe administration of nutrition, hydration, and medication, along with daily site care. Jejunostomy (J-tube) Care – specialized medication and nutrition management for those requiring intestinal feeding. Ostomy care (colostomy and ileostomy) Wound Care Management – dressing changes, infection monitoring, and treatment of pressure injuries, abrasions, and surgical sites. IV Therapy & Medication Administration – intravenous medications, fluids, and monitoring of infusion therapy. Tracheostomy Care – suctioning, cleaning, stoma care, trach changes, and emergency response for airway management.
Oxygen Therapy – monitoring oxygen levels, titrating flow as ordered, and ensuring safe equipment use. Seizure Monitoring & Rescue Medication – observation, documentation, and timely administration of rescue medications per plan of care.
Diabetes Management – including blood glucose checks, insulin administration, and monitoring for hypo/hyperglycemia. Medication Administration – oral, enteral, topical, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications provided as ordered.
Comprehensive Assessments – routine head-to-toe nursing evaluations to detect changes early. Vital Signs & Fatal Seven Monitoring – ongoing observation for early signs of aspiration, constipation, dehydration, sepsis, seizures, infections, and falls.


Residential & Community Support
Through our sponsored residential homes and community placements, we create a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can thrive. We focus on daily living skills, social interaction, and community integration, while ensuring compliance with DBHDS standards and the highest level of care.


Education & Training
 

At Circle of Life Services, LLC, we believe that quality care begins with knowledgeable and confident caregivers. In addition to nursing and residential supports, we provide specialized education and training programs that prepare staff, families, and community members to deliver safe and effective care.

Our training programs include:

  • 32-Hour Medication Administration
    Comprehensive instruction that meets DBHDS standards, teaching unlicensed staff how to safely administer medications, document accurately, and recognize potential side effects or complications.
     
  • Therapeutic Options
    Person-centered training designed to help caregivers understand and implement safe, supportive strategies for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes de-escalation techniques, behavioral support strategies, and maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
     
  • CPR & First Aid Instruction
    Hands-on training to equip caregivers and staff with life-saving skills, ensuring they are prepared to respond confidently and effectively in emergencies.
     

Through these educational services, Circle of Life empowers caregivers and staff with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to provide exceptional care and ensure the safety and well-being of every individual we serve.


Person-Centered Planning
Every individual is unique, so we design customized care plans that prioritize health, independence, and personal goals. We work closely with families, guardians, physicians, and community service boards to ensure that plans of care meet both medical and personal needs.


Advocacy & Support Services
Circle of Life Services stands beside individuals and families as advocates. From coordinating appointments to supporting behavioral health needs and offering grief and family support resources, we empower both the people we serve and their caregivers.

Clorisse Pettaway, CEO


Clorisse has devoted her life to nursing and caring for individuals with complex medical and developmental needs. With years of bedside experience, she has built strong relationships with families and clients, offering not only skilled care but also patience, respect, and encouragement. Her heart for service shines through in her ability to see the whole person, not just the diagnosis, and to ensure that each individual feels safe and valued.

Latanya Pender, CFO

Latanya’s nursing journey has always centered on advocacy and compassion. She has provided care to individuals with diverse and challenging medical needs, standing beside them through both daily routines and critical health moments. Her calm presence, dedication, and nurturing spirit bring comfort to families who know their loved ones are in capable and caring hands. For Latanya, nursing is not just a profession — it is a calling to treat each person with dignity and respect.

Shales Turner, Nurse & Administrative Support 

Shales Turner brings a wealth of knowledge; Shales has cared for individuals requiring everything from tube feedings and tracheostomy support, wound care and seizure monitoring. She understands the importance of meeting both the experience and a heartfelt commitment to the mission of Circle of Life. Known for her attentiveness and medical and emotional needs of those she serves. Shales believes that nursing is about creating trust, offering reassurance, and making sure every individual feel seen and supported.
